This design will reduce fuel or electrical energy consumption and Green House Gas (GHG) emissions (where applicable) by 15-30%, and improve wind machines' efficiency by at least 15%. A major competitive advantage of this design is the ability to handle the torque loads of heavy-duty diesel engines and provide the long life, reliability and durability needed for industrial applications, something that other current CVT designs have been unable to do.
